Brightspace is MMC’s Learning Management System (LMS) that provides faculty and students with a more user-friendly environment. Brightspace’s advantages include internal integration of media, such as YouTube and PowerPoint for easier and faster access; an intuitive whiteboard functionality; a straightforward video/recording feature for lectures, flexibility with course design; and visual metrics that allow students to track their progress.

De MasterMinds Challenge (MMC) wordt in het derde en laatste jaar van de opleiding Geneeskunde gevolgd. In jaar 3 (Semiartsstage, Wetenschapsstage, Keuzeruimte), waar iedere student zijn eigen traject uitzet en volgt, wordt er tijdens de MMC in groepen aan een eindproduct gewerkt. Gezamenlijk zet je je als groep in voor en creëer je een eindproduct op basis van de aanwezige kennis, het creatieve denken, de vindingrijkheid en het netwerk van de groep. Daarnaast speelt interprofessioneel leren een belangrijke rol gedurende de MMC. De MMC vormt als het ware een feestelijke afsluiting van de opleiding Geneeskunde. De student bekijkt een vraagstuk vanuit verschillende perspectieven, te denken aan:

At MMC students receive individual e-mail accounts and access to the MMC network including Blackboard and MMC Connect. All students are expected to adhere to the “Guidelines for Appropriate Use of Technology at MMC,” published in the MMC Student Handbook and on the web site atthe following link http://www.mmm.edu/offices/inforation-technology/technology-policies.php. MMC Connect for Students enables students to review their student profile, academic progress and grades, manage their student account, and register for courses online. A student’s e-mail account allows him/her to enroll in the Blackboard™ course management system used by faculty for web-enhanced and online courses. In addition, the College communicates regularly with students via e-mail. In order to stay informed, students are advised to check their MMC e-mail accounts for important information sent from various offices and faculty members throughout the academic year.
