Accorsi Veronica (Vera) Accorsi, age 78, died peacefully Saturday, October 13 2007. She had been a resident of The Lorelton for almost 10 years, and prior to that, had resided in the family home in Sedgely Farms. Vera was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Delaware when she married. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Accorsi, and also her loving parents, Veronica and Francis Peters.

Linda worked for the EI DuPont I De Nemours Company in the human resources department. Linda was known for being an avid shopper. She also loved her family and cats very much. Linda was a wonderful, talented artist who also enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was a former member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Stephen M. Blatt; her father and stepmother, Joseph D. and Diane W. Lane; her mother and stepfather, Lina A. and Robert A.

He was a life member of VFW Post 2863. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Michael A. D'Arcangelo, Jr; and his brother, Domenic D'Arcangelo and 'his sister, Angeline Giannattasio. Marjorie Coyne Hein was born to Edmund J. Coyne and Lucille Moran Coyne, on April 29, 1918, in Jersey City, NJ.

After graduating from Henry Snyder High School and completing 2 years at the Katherine Gibbs School, she was employed by Bell Telephone of New Jersey. Following her marriage to Edwin Hein in 1937, she became a life-long resident of Delaware. She and Edwin actively participated in the E-52 Drama Group at the University of Delaware for many years. They also enjoyed worldwide travel after Edwin retired avid participant Unifrom DuPont. Marjorie, was an versity of Delaware's Academy of LifeLong Learning.

She was honored by DuPont Country Club for bringing the Women's Lawnbowling Championships to Delaware. She and Edwin supported and promoted lawnbowling and enjoyed the sport together for many years. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her 4 children, Marjorie and her husband, Frederick Altergott, Judith Carver of Clinton, NJ, Douglas E. and wife Kathy of West Chester, and Patricia Condit and husband Bill of Santa Fe, NM.

She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Marjorie was a resident of Foulk Manor North at the time of her death. Her family is grateful for the compassionate care that she received there. A native Delawarean, Raymond was born in Newark, DE on July 23, 1920. Hers the son of the late Raymond and Gertrude (Pearson) Grant. He was member a proud A the US ARMY from 1939 to 1946. He served in the 198th Coast Artillery (AntiAircraft dur ing WWII which was considered the best trained, fully equipped Anti-Aircraft Artillery unit in the US ARMY.

He was a Machine Gunner AA in Battery 156th Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AW) Battalion. He also served as corporal in the 1596th Engr Utility Det and the 979th Engineer Comp. He served both in the Pacific and in Europe during WWII. Raymond gave 40 years of service to E.I. DuPont Co.

Holloway was born and raised in Newark, DE on the farm of his parents, Jane and John Laws Holloway, Sr. He graduated from Newark, High School and Goldey Beacom College. He worked with Union Park Motors for 4 years, and then enlisted in the Delaware National Guard 261st. He was a sergeant with the Guard and then a 1st Lieutenant with the 42nd Bomb Group of the Army Air Force. He piloted 63 combat missions in a B-25 twin engine Mitchell attack bomber.

He was awarded the Air Medal with 5 oak leaf clusters at the end of his tour in the South Pacific. With the war winding down, Bill was given permission to re-fit extra fuel tanks the bomb bay. He then flew his own plane back to California. He was always thrilled about forming his own exit strategy from the jungles of the Southwest Pacific Area. Bill's military service was a highlight of is life.

He was proud of serving his country and made friends with whom he reunited on a regular basis. Following his military service in World War II, Bill flew 2 years with American Airlines, based in Chicago, where met his wife, Mary Ator, a stewardess with American Airlines. It was a romantic beginning to his lifelong love affair with his best friend and companion. In 1948, Mr. Holloway formed Holloway Brothers Tools, Inc.

with his brother John. The establishment of that successful business fulfilled his entrepreneurial interest. He was active in founding Wilmington West Rotary Club, served as its first president, and retained a life long interest in Rotary, particularly in its international exchange programs. Bill and Mary hosted Rotary exchange students from all over the world for over a decade. He led a group of young men to New Zealand on a month-long Rotary, exchange and made many lifelong friends in that country.

Both Mr. Holloway and his wife were Paul Harris Fellows in Rotary International. Mr. Holloway moved with his family to Hockessin in 1956 and became very active in that community. He spearheaded a major fund raising effort to build the existing Hockessin United Methodist Church, for which he was honored by the Methodist organization.

His major hobby in retirement years was bicycle with his wife. They could be seen on the country roads in the Hockessin area bicycling, almost daily in preparation for their travels by bike throughout the United States and many parts of the world. He often commented that their bicycling adventures in the last part of their lives rivaled their flying adventures when they were young. Mr. Holloway is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Ator Holloway, who lived with him at co*kesbury Village; 2 children, Jane Holloway and her husband, Denis LaSota of Hockessin and Dan Holloway and his wife, Cynthia Hewitt of Yorklyn; 3 grandchildren, Stillabower, Chris Stillabower Holloway.

Bill was loved by all family. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Holloway at co*kesbury Village on Saturday, October 20, at 10 am. She was looking forward to the birth first great due in March 2008.

Lynn Age 82, died peacefully at her Shipley Manor home on Friday, October 12, 2007. graduation from PS DuPont High School, Miss Lynn entered the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing.

Upon graduation, she began employment with the Delaware Hospital as a Registered Nurse. She worked in both the medical and surgical departments as a staff nurse, head nurse, and supervisor. She was Director of Nurses for many years. Miss Lynn retired as a vice president after forty years from the Medical Center of Delaware in 1987. She furthered her studies at both the University of Delaware and the University of Pennsylvania in coursework including clinical teaching, mental health, sociology, psychology, and nursing administration.

Following retirement, she volunteered weekly in the nurse's office at Bancroft School and Thurgood Elementary School in the Christina School District. She served 2 terms as President of the Delaware Nurses Association and was on the board for several terms. She was active with Delaware Hospital School Nurse Alumni Association as an executive board member, President, and enthusiastic supporter for decades. Miss Lynn received a certificate of appreciation from the United States Selective Service for her work on the Medical Advisory Committee of the draft in the selection of physicians, dentists, and allied health specialists in 1972. She loved the beach at the family summer cottage in Hacks Point, Maryland.

She maintained and nurtured her life long friendships with her many friendsdating from nursing school and childhood. She is survived by her family: Judy Lynn; Libby and Ralph Thomas; Debbie, Adam, and Kathryn Moser; Stephanie and Rebekkah Kehoe; Ralph (Todd), Kristie, Patrick, and Allison Thomas; Pete, Beau, and Cole Bauer; and her cat, Muffy. Miss Lynn was predeceased by her, parents, James and Elizabeth Ray Lynn, and her 2 brothers, Ralph and Clarence Lynn. She was also predeceased by her sister-in-law, Esther Campbell Lynn, and great-great niece, Sarah Elizabeth Moser, and Sarah's father, Kevin Moser. After the death of her mother, Lynn spent a happy childhood at the home of her mother's best friend, Emma Burton.

She greatly appreciated her caregivers, Lillian Harvey, Dianne, and Theresa, who gave her, love, compassion, and friendship. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 18, at 11 am, at the MCCRERY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3924 Concord Wilmington(Rt 202, south of Silverside where friends may call after 10 am.
