Printers Woman Leaves Pester 'News' $252,977 Estate NEW YORK head of the local Printers Union indicated today more sporadic and costly work stoppages would be held at the New York Daily News, one of five major newspapers involved in negotiations to avert a full-scale strike. Contracts between the news. papers and 10 unions expired at midnight Thursday, but labor mediators continued working at a slow, but steady pace in hopes of reaching a settlement.

Attention today focused on Bertram A. Powers, president of Local 6 of the International Typographical Union, who personally directed three work stoppages totaling nearly eight at the Daily News on Friday. Another work stoppage was planned for today. The other newspapers involved in the contract negotiations are the New York Times, the World Journal Tribune, the Long Island Press and Long Island Star -Journal. Child Attack Holds Father A Homewood man is being held by Braddock police in the alleged beating of his six-yearold son.

Charles Young, 35, of 7620 Mulford was charged with assault and battery, after a fight in the home of friends in Braddock last night. His son, Charles Sekerski, was in satisfactory condition in Braddock General Hospital with cuts and bruises of the face and head. Attendants said 16 stitches were required to close the cuts. The boy's mother, Jacqueline Sekerski, of 708 Oakwood Homewood, was released from the same hospital after treatment of bruises. 15212 A Point Breeze woman who died three years ago left an estate valued at $252,977 according to an inventory filed in the office of Register of Wills Rita Wilson Kane. The largest item in the estate of Grace Allen, of 6800 Thomas was 300 shares of stock Allen Gauge Tool Co. valued at $105,000.. Miss Allen died March 1, 1964, at the age of 61 in Hallandale, Fla. She left three-fourths of the stock to a brother, Charles H.

Allen and the rest to another brother, Rosslyn. In addition, the brothers will receive equal shares of her partnership in the firm, valued $40,000. The rest of the estate, according to the terms of Miss Allen's will, is to be divided among her sister, Jean Allen Fyfe; another brother, Robert B.
