LB Emmanuel Beya – Ardrey Kell – At 5’11 and 185 pounds, I thought Emmanuel really stood out during the Agility Circuit and Position Individuals portion of the showcase. The Class of 2025 prospect had 56 tackles and 8 tackles for loss last season. Emmanuel has the speed and athleticism to also play some rover/strong safety in specific defenses. Emmanuel shows excellent closing speed coming off the edge in his highlight film and also shows excellent discipline in zone coverage.

LB Justin Abanquah – Providence Day – The Class of 2027 prospect impressed during the testing and Agility Circuit portions of the showcase. I really liked how fluid of an overall athlete Justin is, especially with his size at 5’11 and 215 pounds. Playing inside linebacker, I have observed Justin make some impressive tackles, stopping the run in space on multiple occasions. Justin can also play some outside linebacker and displays excellent speed in blitzing from depth and causing quarterback hurries and fumbles.

DL Skyz Carr – Mooresville – I have written about Skyz before as he has impressed me during games with his abilities at the Defensive Tackle position. Skyz impressed me with his overall strength, which he put on display during the OL vs. DL 1-on-1 portion of the camp. A Class of 2025 prospect at 6’1 and 250 pounds, Skyz also excels at keeping offensive linemen off his linebackers and can be a strong run-stopper in the middle of a defense. Skyz did show some pass rush skill, going through the shoulder using a strong rip move on one of his reps during the camp.

DL Leonard Goethe – Indian Land – The Class of 2025 prospect was impressive to me during OL vs. DL 1-on-1s during the camp. I really liked Leonard’s speed rush, and his ability to turn the short corner against slower offensive tackles in his reps. Leonard shows this speed well in his highlight package from last season, causing disruption from a 2-point stance primarily in the Indian Land defensive scheme. At 6’0 and 190 pounds, Leonard may project more as a linebacker at the next level, but he possesses the athleticism to get it done.

DB Josh Dickason – North Mecklenburg – I have observed Joshua perform well at the Charlotte Football Insiders Spring Showcase, and I personally observed him make an impressive interception during the 7-on-7 portion of the camp. Josh closed on a wide receiver in his zone, tipped the ball, and then caught it off the tip, displaying great overall athleticism and concentration. At 5’10 and 160 pounds, the Class of 2026 prospect has a big junior season ahead of him.

LB Linwood Spindle – Chambers – Linwood is a Class of 2025 prospect who stands at 5’9 and 185 pounds. I liked Linwood’s speed in open spaces – the Agility Circuit in particular really stood out to me. Linwood shows the ability to rush the passer from an outside linebacker position and be disruptive in the backfield. Also, per his highlight film, Linwood shows a good ability to make open-field tackles against talented players in space.
